The huge, old-fashioned front porch looks out over the water to Cedar Point, Sandusky Bay, Marblehead and Lakeside. It's the perfect spot for relaxing, morning coffee, reading, napping, people/boat watching and evening drinks.

Our family has been vacationing on Kelleys Island for decades. It is an incredibly family-friendly vacation spot with plenty to offer kids of all ages. A trip to Kelleys starts with the ferry ride from Marblehead -- a 20 minute ride that serves to melt-away the stresses of the real world. Once onshore, a feeling of peace and tranquility instantly takes over. Kelleys Island is the perfect spot for family reunions, gatherings of friends, and lasting memories.The first few blocks west of town on Lakeshore Drive have always been our absolute favorite place on Kelleys because of the beautiful old homes, the majestic shade trees, the cool breezes coming across the lake, boats of all kinds sailing by, and the gorgeous views of the mainland, especially at night. We never thought we'd be able to buy a place on this street. While here for a family reunion in 2013, we found ourselves with a unique opportunity to acquire our own little piece of heaven.

You won't find a better value on Kelleys Island.Picturesque views across the water await you and your family from all three porches, the living room, dining room and three of four bedrooms.Don't worry about bringing your own towels, linens and kitchen utensils. The house is fully equipped with recently updated appliances, including dishwasher, microwave, and coffeemakers (drip and K-cup), first floor washer/dryer, fast wifi, satellite TV, and both a Weber kettle charcoal grill and a Weber 3-burner gas grill.The side porch off the kitchen is screened in and includes a ceiling fan -- the perfect place to relax with coffee, listen to the birds and take in the lake as the sun comes up.Upstairs you'll find three bedrooms (1 queen, 1 queen, 1 full) and 1 full bath (shower stall) off the hall with a second door to one of the queen bedrooms. All include ceiling fans. Downstairs you'll find another queen bedroom, dining room, living room, kitchen with extra large center peninsula with stools, walk-in pantry, and the second full bath (tub with curtain). The living room features satellite HD TV, leather couches and an activity table for cards, games or jigsaw puzzles.We love hosting multi-generational families and offer a high chair, baby gate and front porch baby gate (upon request).

LOCATION
We're so close to the center of town you won't need a car or golf cart to get around, but carts and bikes are available for rent by the hour, day, or week at several places just up the street.Kelleys is the family-friendly island, the largest American island on Lake Erie, within a short 2.5 hour drive of Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo and Detroit. Kelleys is perfect for boating, fishing, bike riding, golf cart riding, hiking and bird watching.

We continue to make upgrades every year to enhance the quality and value of your stay. For 2022 we added central AC and new living/dining room furniture. For 2023 we upgraded the front porch furniture, redecorated 2 bedrooms, and added a fiber internet connection.

This is our second time staying. Zach and Elizabeth are wonderful to work with. Close walk to town for dinner or drinks but we barely left the porch. The view of the water is gorgeous!

This is the second summer in a row we’ve vacationed in this beautiful home. Again, it was exactly how it appears in the pictures and super clean. The whole house is charming, but you will absolutely love the front porch for its beautiful lake view as well as the great people watching! We have young children for which the owners graciously provide a highchair, a toddler’s highchair and a gate/fence to keep the kids from going down the steps off the front porch! As advertised, the house has a fully stocked kitchen so we were able to prepare food for everyone in the family. You won’t have to pack towels or sheets, and there’s a washer and dryer conveniently located on the main floor. In spite of the pandemic, we had plenty of things to see and do with the kids! Our favorites include the beach at the state park, nature walks at the quarries, the butterfly box and, of course, putzing around on a golf cart we rented for the week! We’re so excited about this rental only a few hours from Cleveland. Fully intend to book another week next summer!

This was our third visit to this beautiful home on Kelleys Island and we are already looking forward to next year. The house is well stocked with everything needed to stay the week, all we had to bring was food & clothes. Fully equipped kitchen to prepare our meals & full-size washer & dryer so we didn't have to pack much. There is so much to see & do on the island, some of our favorites are hiking the Preserves, riding bikes & golf cart & fishing. Our favorite spot is the front porch of the house, so relaxing & incredible views of the lake. The owners are great to work with & easy to contact with any questions. Thank you Zach & Elizabeth for another great vacation!

Such a fantastic week! We couldn’t have been happier with this house or the island! It was exactly how it appears in the pictures and super clean. The whole house is lovely, but we especially enjoyed the front porch for its breathtaking lake views as well as the people watching! It was the perfect place for my young family. We have two children under five. We didn’t want to have to spend a day in the car to get to our vacation destination. It took less than three hours (ferry included) to travel from the east side of Cleveland to the house. They provided a highchair, a toddler’s highchair and the perfect gate to keep the kids from going down the steps off the porch so that the whole family could truly relax out there! As advertised, the house has a fully stocked kitchen so we were able to prepare food for everyone in the family. You won’t have to pack towels or sheets, and there’s a washer and dryer conveniently located on the main floor. Again, perfect if you have little ones making lots of laundry! As a first timer on Kelleys Island, I found there were plenty of things to see, do and eat! Our personal favorites include the beach at the state park, glacial grooves, the food at the Island House and simply putzing around on a golf cart we rented for the week! We’re so excited about this rental only a few hours from home. Can’t wait to book another week next summer!

Beautiful home and fully stocked more then any rental we have used. The kitchen was in a good area to get your coffee and sit and relax in the screened porch. The front porch was so nice to sit and watch the boats and people watch. Zach was extremely easy to work with. I had a few personal things that came up and he was very understanding. We would stay again for sure.

This Million Dollar View home lived up to its name! The beautifully furnished front porch was a favorite spot during our stay. The homey kitchen, the comfy beds and the spacious back yard all made this house feel like home. Very clean and welcoming.

our 3 generation family of 8 just returned from our stay in this grand old house and it was a reluctant farewell. i think this is the best location on the island, and the house is exactly as described. the kids could ride their bikes to town, and to the baseball field. we hiked at the quarry and chartered a fishing boat to catch our walleye dinner. the jet express to cedar point is a short stroll away and we found a nice selection of restaurants - all family friendly. the gorgeous front porch with the cool lake breezes was the gathering place and we already miss it! a small but appreciated added bonus was the cupboard of penzey spices - just like home!! the homeowners have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable - couldn't have been better.

This is a beautiful home on Kelleys Island, inside and out! Our family loves relaxing on the front porch and watching the boats out on the lake. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed for cooking meals and there is a beautiful dining room that sits everyone comfortably. The house is close enough to walk to the downtown to shop or eat out. There is so much to see and do on the island and we appreciated the recommendations Zach and Elizabeth made, they are great to work with! We loved hiking the Horseshoe Lake trail. We are already looking forward to our stay next summer!

The view was absolutely beautiful as we overlooked Lake Erie.Further, We were within walking distance to downtown. the house is laid out nicely with plenty of amenities. We met his wife whom I and my family consider very nice. Overall the stay was great. If we decide to return to the island I would be happy to rent from Zack and his family again.

Our family had a wonderful week at this fantastic lakefront home! Everything is so close when you want to explore the island life...but you may not ever want to leave the peaceful porch with the lake right there and a view of Cedar Point in the distance. We dined out most evenings, but had breakfast in the lovely dining room and coffee lounging on the porch. Zach was so attentive to make our stay perfect. We so very highly recommend this historic home in the best location on the island!
